As David ran from King Saul, his faith was tested. When he was living in dark caves and in the desert, he cried out for God’s help.
David didn’t stop trusting in God during his hardships. David didn’t stopping worshipping the Lord either.
So many of us forget that God is still worthy of our worship even in the hard times.
John Williams once said, “Even when it hurts, we can praise Him. Even in the storms of life, we can find Him. In those situations our calling is tested. Are we truly ready to pick up our cross and follow Him?”
We all go through storms in our lives. Many will face struggles that are more difficult to handle.
But in those times you must not forget that God is still in control.
I don’t know what you are going through. I don’t know the troubles you face. But what I do know is that God is still there.
We are commanded to worship Him in our attitudes, in song, and in prayer.
Just because you may be going through a difficult season doesn’t mean that your worship should stop.
“Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you in turmoil within me? Hope in God; for I shall again praise him, my salvation and my God” (Psalm 43:5).
This is the best opportunity to worship God.
The circumstance that you may be facing does not compare to the power of the Lord.
This is when your soul needs refreshing. This is when you cry out for help and guidance. This is when you are looking for something to hold fast to.
Worship God for the little things that He does. Worship Him because He created you and all that you see. Worship Him because He gave you a new life. Worship Him because He is still your God no matter what you face. Worship Him because He loves you more than anything you could ever imagine.
I know it is hard. I know that there will be times when worshipping God will seem useless and unnecessary.
But don’t stop. Don’t ever stop.
Worshipping Him will change your perspective. It will change how you view your current circumstance, because He is greater than your troubles.
He is worthy of our praise. He is worthy of our worship. No matter what you may be going through.
In His amazing love,
Why would worshipping God change your perspective of your hardships? How can worshipping Him help you get through your troubles?
