When the Bad Things Happen

img_1789She laid on her bed as the tears fell.

How could all this be happening? Not in a million years would she had thought that her life would be like this? That her family would be in such turmoil?

She wondered if God was still in her life, or if He had abandoned her.

Many of us go through hard times. Some may be harder than others. But nonetheless, they are extremely hard and trying.

As life goes through ups and downs, questions will rise to our minds. Questions like if these difficult times are because of you. If God left you alone. If He doesn’t care for you anymore.

When the bad things happen we need to remain strong in the Lord.

He has promised to never leave you or forsake you (Joshua 1:5). He will always be there.

No matter how hard your life may get, no matter how difficult these times may seem, always keep your focus on God.

He has been through it all.

While on this earth, He was mocked, forgotten, beaten, bullied, and died.

Whatever your circumstance is, the Lord understands.

Just as you could speak with someone who understands your problems and pain, you can speak with the Lord because He understands.

He is your Father when you have lost yours. He is your Friend when you may not have one. He is your Help in your distress.

Look to Him to be your strength, your hope, and your comfort in the difficult times.

During your bad times, meditate on the words of 2 Corinthians 1:3-4a: “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation. . .

When the bad things happen, God will be your comfort through it all.

In His amazing love,
