Would you want to help someone who never listens to you? Who thinks of himself more than others? Who never tries to spend time to get to know you? Just constantly asks for your help?
This is how most of us seem to God.
He is wanting to spend time with us, but we, instead, spend more time with other things.
But then it happens. That time we need major help. So we ask the Lord for His help. To take away our fears.
In Hebrews 13:5-6, it says, “Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as we have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.”
If we are not spending time with the Lord and living the way He has called us to, why would He help us in our troubles? Why should He?
We will not be able to let go of our fears until we fully give ourselves to Him.
In His amazing love,
