Staying Positive in a Negative World

3F632086-E5D4-4EF5-BC79-F1547F0B0C18Negative words and comments affect us in ways we may not realize. They will mentally confuse us and make us believe things that are simply not true.

This world is full of negativity. And as sons and daughters of our Heavenly Father we need to learn how to not let all this negativity affect us.

Here are three ways to stay positive in this negative world:

1. Don’t dwell on it.

When you read or someone gives you a negative comment, do not dwell on it. They had to have a reason to say those things. And, more than likely, it wasn’t because of you.

You can walk away and know that you are more than what that person wants you to think. Because you are a child of the King.

2. Take criticism properly.

None of us like to hear criticism about ourselves. It makes us feel as if we are not good enough.

But we need to change our thinking.

The criticism that we receive, although sometimes hurtful, can better us. We can take it and try to fix ourselves in those areas.

3. Give it to God.

This world is full of all sorts of sin, heartache, and catastrophes that make us view life in a negative sense.

When this world gives us more that we can deal with, we must give it to God. There is no way to eliminate negativity in this life without giving it all to God. He has the power to renew our spirits to see positivity instead of negativity.

This life will keep throwing negative situations at us. But we need to find the positive side to those things. We need to let God be in control. Doing so will let positivity win the battle against negativity.

In His amazing love,

Really great tips! Thanks! One thing that lifts my spirits when when I’m feeling negative is a song. Listening to good, upbeat music encourages me to look at my life differently.
